5 ways to make your kids’ bubble bath time more fun

To say it can be difficult to convince your kids to take a bath is a dramatic understatement. However, taking a bubble bath is one of the simplest pleasures in life, especially for kids. It’s your job to convince them of this fact and that’s perhaps easier said than done.
But think about it for a second. The bubbles, the warm, clean filtered water, and the toys all make for an experience that not only helps them relax and unwind but gives them more opportunity for play too. The fact that it also keeps them clean is a definite bonus, but you don’t need to sell that to them.
A bubble bath can be more than just a routine activity for your kids. With a little creativity, you can make it a fun and exciting experience that they’ll look forward to every day. Here are five ways to make your kids’ bubble bath time something they genuinely look forward to rather than protest against.
Add colourful bubbles
Adding some colourful bubble bath solutions can make your kids’ bubble bath more exciting and exotic. You can find different colours and scents in most supermarkets or make your own bubble bath using natural ingredients like lavender oil and chamomile. Your child will love watching the bubbles change colour as they play in the bath and if you mix it up with a different colour every day (Blue Mondays, for example) then it will give them something new to look forward to every night.
Create a bubble bath art station
A little bit of an outside-the-box idea but hear us out. Create a bubble bath art station for your kids by providing them with some bathtub-safe markers and allowing them to draw on the walls of the bathtub (you can always get rid of it later). They can create different pictures or write messages in bubbles, which will keep them entertained and engaged while you’re busy scrubbing and soaking them.
Use glow-in-the-dark bubbles
Glow-in-the-dark bubbles can be found in some toy stores and can really lend an element of wonder to an otherwise quite generic activity. Turn off the lights and let your kids enjoy a glowing bath. It’s a unique and memorable experience that they’ll never forget and might really interest them if they’re fans of Star Wars.
Mix up the bath toys
Kids love toys so it only makes sense that bath toys would make bubble baths even more enjoyable. You can find a variety of bath toys in stores or online, from rubber ducks to foam letters and numbers and even elaborate play sets with gears, levers and submarines!
Make a bubble bath challenge
Finally, come up with some fun challenges to help them make bath time into something they feel like they can win. Because we all know kids love winning! You can ask them to create the biggest bubble they can or see who can make the most bubbles. A bubble bath challenge will not only make bath time more fun but also improve your child’s creativity and imagination. Their teachers will almost certainly thank you.
