First thing in the morning
Make drinking water a part of your daily routine right away by reaching for a glass as soon as you open your eyes in the morning.

Drinking water before each meal will help you feel fuller for longer. This means you’re less likely to succumb to cravings or over-consume when you do come to eat.
Drinking around 30 minutes before a meal is recommended, and as this study conducted by the University of Birmingham revealed, it can work wonders for your waistline.
Drinking water instead of reaching for a quick snack when you’re hungry is also advisable, as many people mistake hunger for thirst.
Prior to a workout
Drinking water before and during exercise is important. Dehydration is after all the number one performance killer. By filling up on H2O and regularly topping up throughout your workout, you can replenish the fluids lost through breathing and sweating during exercise to reveal new personal bests.
Without water, muscle fatigue will set in much quicker. You’ll also suffer from poor coordination and a lack of energy.
Don’t forget to hydrate after your workout too. But avoid drinking water too quickly as it can induce muscle cramps.
Whilst drinking water offers a little energy boost when you’re tired during the day, finishing with a big glass of water just before bedtime means a better night’s sleep. Nighttime dehydration can leave you feeling groggy come the morning.
